Chinese Game Go: Playing

The chinese game go is a turn based game. That means that each player act one after another.

During its turn, a player can choose to place a stone, or to pass its turn. In such case, it's the end of the round and the other player got to play again.

In Go, Black plays first.

Step 1: The board is empty.

Step 2: Black plays.

When you place a stone on the board, it must be on an empty intersection.

You can't play a stone on an intersection that already has a stone on it.

You can't play either a stone on an intersection that would remove all the liberty of your stone or chain; unless it complete the removal of an opponent chain.

No repetition of the same shape is allowed. If recapturing a stone would recreate the same board position from the previous move, the position is called "ko", and the recapturing move is illegal.
